Importance of education...
There isn't much to say on this topic, other than the fact that formal education is a {perhaps unfortunate} necessity to get somewhere in this world. Well, get somewhere easily, that is.
That isn't to say that there aren't plenty of people out there who have managed to be successful without an education. It's just to say that it might be easier for those of us who do have a degree.
It also isn't to say that I necessarily agree with this fact. But it's just that: a fact. In my perfect world, more focus would be placed on alternative forms of education: real world experience and internships, vocational training, etc.
So that's that.
Love,

Couldn't agree with you more. A number of my friends are 'drop outs' like myself and we all agree that things might have been different had we gone from school to a college to do something vocational rather than university to do something academic. We're now all trying to save up all of our pennies to attend such places! That's not to say that university style education is worthless, but kids should be encouraged to look into what is the best route for them than just be pushed towards academia by the (in my opinion) ridiculous stigma that has been attached to vocational qualifications.
totally agree!! not everyone is meant to go to a 4yr university and just because you do go to college you are not guaranteed a job after graduation. btw LOVE the new header! looks lovely, happy almost-friday! xoxo jcd
