To me, nesting is an umbrella term I like to use for just...enjoying home. It can mean actually redecorating or cooking or whatever I need to do to enjoy being home. It means creating a sweet, comfortable place for my husband and I to live. Our lives can be crazy, and I want our home, even if we just live in a little apartment, to be a place of happiness and respite. Fall always makes me want to fulfill that need even more. I cook more, I keep things cleaner, we drink more wine and yummy cocktails, we cuddle more, we just spend more time together as a family. It's kind of fantastic.
Now that I don't have a ton of meetings to go to and errands to run, I'm spending the week at home, calling in sick to life, if you will. Everyone always gets Robert liquor for his birthday (he's an aspiring mixologist-by-hobby), so we're pretty much stocked for a while. I may need to leave to get my fill of Chick Fil-A fill, but definitely not my fill of cocktails.

Chick Fil-A, of course :)
It's actually getting a little chillier these days, and I love it!
One of my favorite fall "home-y" comfort things is having soup for supper while curled up on the couch. It's heavenly.
Hmm, sounds — and looks — lovely. I love the last picture.
