{summer essentials: the bathing suit}

So, friends, it’s summer. Or almost summer. Whatever season it is, it’s eighty degrees here and that means it’s beach weather! I know I said that I’m not the biggest fan of the beach, but I do want to spend more time there this year.

Most people would say that they want to go to the beach, that’s that. I have an ulterior motive. You know I do…

I’m constantly looking for the perfect bathing suit, and one of these three might definitely be it. Even if I don’t go to the beach {or swimming….I don’t go in the water. ever.}, I always need a new bathing suit for the summer.

1. My bathing suits almost always come from Old Navy. Last year it was a gold and white striped bikini. This year, it might be this pretty green one. I mean, it has ruffles! Anything with ruffles always wins in my book.

2. You all know that I’m not the biggest fan of purple, but it’s really been growing on me. And I kind of fell in love with the ruching on this one from J. Crew. I’m a little self-conscious about my tummy these days, so I may actually get a one piece. I think this one is still sexy enough, but covers everything I need covered up.

3. Isn’t that cover up from Anthropologie cute?! I think it would look perfect with any of these, but especially number two…

4. As much as I love ruffles and ruching, you know that bows are my favorite. And this one is absolutely adorable. If only I had $300 to spend on a bathing suit…
