Last week, I wrote a little bit about how I found my personal style last year. For the most part, it's been really easy for me to find things that I love to wear! I mean, how difficult can it be? One of my biggest issues, however, has been finding the right clothes, shoes, and accessories to wear while I'm working a wedding.

I can't tell you how many times I've showed up to a wedding, only to have my feet start hurting within a few hours of starting the set up, or my shirt get stained or become untucked. The last thing I want to worry about on my wedding days is how I look, but I have to make sure that I look nice and presentable. Here are my requirements for the perfect wedding day outfit:
1 // I am literally on my feet for up to fourteen hours during the day. Sometimes I will change between setting up and when guests start to arrive, but I prefer to stay in the same outfit the entire day (mainly to save time). That means my shoes have to be comfortable. This is, hands down, my number one rule, and I've yet to find that perfect pair of shoes! I'm thinking of ordering these soon though, so I can break them in before my first wedding in May. They aren't the cutest pair of shoes in the world, but I think they'll do. What do you think?
2 // I really don't want to have to worry about my pants ripping or losing a button on my blouse during the day. I actually do a lot of physical labor at my weddings as well, so I have to make sure that my clothes are up to task. This is why I prefer to wear pants. I can't help but wonder at those wedding planners I see wearing heels and dresses to their weddings. I mean, how is that possible?
3 // Of course, I want to look cute. You never know who you'll meet at a wedding! That being said, I don't want my clothes to be too flashy, and looking professional is still an absolute must. I wore a pair of black pants last year, but they weren't the most flattering cut, and I'd really like to find a new pair that are cropped at the ankle for this year. I'm also on the lookout for a few pretty, lightweight blouses (since the majority of my weddings occur during the summer), and a new dark blazer for the evenings.
I'm thinking that a shopping trip is most definitely in order soon, but I'm still having a difficult time finding the balance between all of these things! I don't want to pay too much, since I never know what will spill on my clothes, but I don't want to look cheap either. I want to let my personality shine through, but I also don't to be too obvious.
So tell me, how you do find that perfect balance between the three? What would you prefer your wedding planner to wear at your wedding?
