Along with this whole decorating my home thing, I've been really rethinking my seasonal and holiday decor. I already know that I want to get a new Christmas tree this year, but I'd really love to use more intentional decorations for all seasons. Most of my current inventory has been collected from sale items after the holidays, or Big Lots finds when I couldn't afford anything nicer. In my perfect world, most of my new pieces would be handmade, local, or authentic from other places and countries. I know that it will take time to build a robust collection of holiday decor for throughout the year, but I can at least start right now!
I got this custom banner on Etsy, and I just love it! We put up our faux-mantel a few weeks ago, but it's been pretty bare so far. I think this is the perfect start to making it ready for fall, don't you think? Here are a few other things I've found on Etsy lately that I'd love to decorate my home with for the season:
