Does anyone else feel like they missed a day? I was at my computer all day today thinking it was Monday, and didn't realize it was Tuesday until I looked at my calendar to see what my post for tonight was. I think I'm going crazy guys...
On Saturday, I drove up to beautiful Santa Barbara to sign a client that I'm so excited to work with. We hit it off right away, and met with some really amazing vendors. Oh, and did I mention that I get to work at my dream venue come September?
We were drinking coffee in the morning, meeting with some photographers, and she told me how her fiance proposed. Not only did he propose over the water in New York City on December 12, 2012...but he actually had a videographer there the entire time! I watched the video and I just knew that I had to share it with all of you.
I know that engagement season is nearly over, but the video made me think about all of the things that go into a perfect proposal. I guess it can be argued that as long as you're engaged at the end of it, it's a perfect proposal, but there's quite a bit of planning that goes into it. Or, that can go into it. It all depends on the couple, really, and their own preferences and personalities.
So, like I was saying...
How did he propose to you? Do you have any good proposal stories?
There are no real rules for Wedding Wednesday, I just ask that your post be wedding related. It doesn’t need to be the same topic that I’m posting about. I also ask that you try to visit a few other blogs to say hi, and I would love it if you would use my button (found here).

I honestly don't think you need the disclaimer. Everyone is entitled to do their own thing and get engaged or married or whatever in the way that fits them best. Proposals are super special and this post was gorgeous. Your blog is a lot about weddings so of course we love to see engagements too.
Oh my goodness, these photos are amazing - and yes, I feel like I missed a day too!

I love a good engagement! Such a lovely video. My proposal was on New Year's Eve three years ago. He got down on one knee in the snow, wearing his kilt... brave man!
There is nothing I love more than hearing about how people got proposed to. Capturing the moment is a must!
Oh my goodness I love that video!! Thank you so much for sharing :) How adorable are they? You're going to have so much planning this wedding. xoxo! eliza
Hehe do I need to send an anonymous message ;) xoxo
It's so true! Having a videographer or photographer really is so important...I promise you'll always want to remember that moment!
Oh my goodness, that is brave! But so romantic :) I think snow in general is romantic, so that's a win-win for me ;)
What a sweet video!!! My husband and I did long-distance for a year and a half, and he proposed to me in the airport terminal the second I got off the plane to visit him. It was so perfect for us. :)
I love proposal stories! This is one so sweet...thank you for sharing!
I love that you posted this video! I looked it up after Saturday's meeting and I definitely might have cried. :) So, so sweet! I love when she starts crying as she realizes what's happening... and could she be any more gorgeous?!
I must say that this is a greatly planned and executed proposal. Huge props to the future groom! Leo and I just love everything about Mimi and Alan. :)
Tom proposed to me on the top of a mountain ( perfect for us) and made sure that there was NOT A SOUL around. That's because I always told him I didn't want a single person to share that moment with us. It was such a perfect proposal, and while I don't have a photo capturing the moment, I'm so happy to have the memory that I don't have to share with anyone else. We were pretty lucky because about 15 seconds after I jumped and hooted and hollered and yelled in excitement, a few random hikers came out of the clearing in the woods and took a picture for us, (after I apologized for ruining the peace and quiet of the mountain).
that's lovely. it worked for us that Jon's proposal wasn't... orchestrated, you know? - it's what we was right for who we are as a couple. but Mimi and Alan look over the moon :)
Hey dear I really like your blog! What about following each other? Also on bloglovin and fb if you want...just let me know :3 <3

New Outfit Post!
i love how every time i visit there is something new with your design!! i'm in love - the bow, the background, the font. it's lovely. and yes - i did actually read this post! it made me flash back to my proposal - in front of my immediately family after church on christmas morning. he hid the box in the tree and it was the last gift i opened. he got down on one knee and read a poem he wrote asking me to marry him, promptly making me ugly cry and nod. i was only 18 years old! we're a couple of crazies, but it sure was romantic! :)
Haha right?! I was totally crying after too!
Haha I am never satisfied with my design...I am always changing it (which probably isn't a good thing). As soon as I found that bow though, I knew I had to use it :)
And I love your proposal story! It is romantic, and so sweet of him :) xoxo
I think everyone is different, and as long as you're happy, then that's all that matters :)
I think that's perfect! Everyone has a different vision for their proposal (and wedding), and as long as you're engaged and happy, then that's all that matters :)
Right?! I love that this sets the tone for the entire wedding :)
Yeah, I definitely cried too :)
I love it! What a romantic way to propose! So sweet :)
