I committed myself to doing way too much for Mother's Day. I love all the mothers in my life, and I wanted to make sure that they all knew that.
I also made brunch for my husband's family {cream cheese stuffed French toast with sauteed strawberries, potato and egg casserole, bacon, and bloody Marys} and dinner for my family {pasta with sausage sauce, chicken picatta, salad, and chocolate cake}.
I wouldn't have minded doing all of this, if I hadn't felt like death immediately after making brunch for my in-laws and had to sleep on the couch while they ate.
I'm still feeling very sick. I really want to be home right now.

I confess that I don't take nearly enough pictures.

This weekend I learned that spending time with family is always satisfying, especially if spending time with them means making an impromptu trip to Sonic after the baseball game and getting "cheese-tots" and a cherry-limeade slushie.
I learned that working with a glue gun for six hours straight will give you the gnarliest blister on your thumb...and it will hurt for days afterward.
Oh, and I have the best mom in the world...the best mom for me, at least.
Love you Mom.
And I love all of you, too.
xoxo,
