These past few weeks and months {and year, really} have been crazy. I thought Chicago would be a vacation, but as fun as it was, I was still walking around all. day. long. And this past weekend we drove four hours to stay the night with my family in the mountains, and drove home less than twenty-four hours later.
I need a vacation from the vacations. Oh, and from life.
I need to go somewhere completely secluded and warm, with a good book. A beach would be nice. So today, I’m taking a virtual vacation. Who’s with me?

I am with you! I need time off, good time off. I can see a small island, sunshine, no phone, no internet, just books, sweet juices, night baths and good food.

I'm with you. My in-laws own a 'beach' house {i.e. a tiny cottage within walking distance to the beach} in RI and we go every September for a weeks' vacation. lately I've been saying "Is it September yet?". Hubs only finds this mildly amusing....

New follower here! I would LOVE to vacation right now. My parents are in Cuba as we speak (as I type?). If I could go anywhere, right this second I would choose Barbados or Santorini island off of Greece. If you ask me in 5 minutes, I'll probably say somewhere else. I'm like you though in that all I need is a beach. My man & a beach. Haha.
I'd be on a plane to the Dominican Republic with my fiance. He was born there and hasn't been there in 16 years. I'd love to visit there to meet more family, but they're ON the beach!!
I am in so much need of a virtual vacation. I took one to Italy the other day, it seriously made my day.
