{birthday hair}

My birthday happened to fall on a Wednesday this year, which was a good thing. Robert has Wednesdays off, so I immediately knew that I wanted to plan a fun day for the two of us. We love watching web clip shows on TV, like America's Funniest Home Videos (though we don't watch Tosh.0), and I was so excited when I saw that Ridiculousness was filming on my birthday! That is definitely one of our favorite shows to watch together (total guilty pleasure), so we spent the day in Los Angeles, waiting in line to see Rob Dyrdek and then walking around Sunset Boulevard.

Before that, however, I decided it was necessary to make a stop at my true guilty pleasure. I absolutely love being pampered, which is why I'll use any excuse to make an appointment at the Dry Bar. I'm sure there are plenty of salons out there that could blow out my hair for less than what the Dry Bar charges, but seriously, it's all about the experience. You really do get what you pay for! They always do a great job, of course, but it's the mimosas and hip stylists that really win me over.

My hair is pretty long, and it can take me quite a while to blow it out at home, which is why you'll usually find it in a nest on top of my head. I can never get it as smooth and bouncy and full as when they do it there, and my birthday was no different.
I have a crush on their branding too!
Why yes, I was double fisting with my mimosa and coffee with a straw...
Have you ever had your hair professionally blown out before, just for the hell of it? If not, you should. It's totally worth it.

Oh, and when we were walking down Sunset, I saw a Dry Bar right next to this place. Genius!
