Happy Hour

I am so sorry. My life is exceedingly boring these days.

I can't even have a drink tonight yet. I'm getting really tired of water and lemonade these days...
As much as it pains me to admit it, I actually found myself Googling "blog prompts" last night. I didn't spend much time on any of them; nothing seemed interesting enough to actually post about.

Um, I got ice cream last night. Strawberry and chocolate chip. It was delicious.

It's about 90 degrees outside, and while I do appreciate the nice weather, I'm not really ready for 90 degrees. That's a little bit too much for me, especially for the first day of April...

That was my week. I told you it was boring.

This weekend is going to be boring too, but I still can't wait for 4:00 to come around. I just don't know if I will be able to survive work today...

So, what's on the agenda for the weekend? Working on my calligraphy. Posting for my other blog. Working on the website for our new event planning company, A Charming Occasion. Maybe see a movie {anyone see Lincoln Lawyer yet? I really want to see it}. Little black dress shopping. And Sunday is our dating anniversary. Seven years! Crazy!

Since it is April first, I feel the need to tell you about the best April Fools' Day prank that I've pulled. Now, I have to say that I kind of hate today, but a few years ago Robert and I pretty much fooled everyone. We were the talk of the school, and it was awesome.
What was our awesome idea? We broke up on Facebook. That was it. We didn't talk to anyone. We didn't go out together all day.

People. Went. Nuts.

Like I said, we've been together for seven years now. At that time we had been together four years. It was a big deal to our little campus! I've seen a few couples try it since then, but nobody will do it as well as we did. It was awesome.

I'll stop boring you now. Here are a few things I wanted to share with you today:

Who knew cheese could be so entertaining?

Wedding of the week.

Love.

I never thought I would buy a one piece bathing suit again, but J. Crew might change my mind.

That's all. Be sure to link up below!

We do happy hour all day on Fridays. Because it's five o'clock somewhere, right?

What are you drinking today?

Happy Hour is my weekly blog party, where we get to meet new friends, find new blogs to read, and destress from our week.  We're all busy ladies and sometimes we just need to get out with some friends, chat, and have a drink.

How to enter the party:
  1. Must be a follower of Love is Home to participate. If you aren't already a follower, just click that "follow" button over there to the right.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of this post and click on the link to enter.
  3. Add your blog's information and button.
  4. And you're done!
How to play:
  1. Write a post about anything you want to write about. Do you need to vent about a stressful week? It's okay, we all have them and that's what we're here for. Vent away. Did you have a fantastic day? We want to hear about that too. Or do you have big plans for the weekend? You know what to do...
  2. Visit two other blogs linked below and leave a comment, saying that you are from {Where We Love} Happy Hour.
  3. Come back and leave a comment below telling us who you visited and any wonderful new blogs you found.
But there are some rules...
  1. Don't post and run...that's not cool. And if you do, your link will be deleted.
  2. I thoroughly dislike "copy and paste" comments...you know, the ones that say "I'm a new follower from Happy Hour, I would love for you to follow back..." blah blah blah. Don't do it, please. I don't want to have to delete a link for doing that either. The purpose of this is to find new blog friends and support each other. We like authentic followers, ones that actually enjoy our blogs and aren't blindly following a bunch of blogs in hopes that they will gain more followers.
And if you want, you are welcome to use one of my buttons in your post!

Much love,

Happy April fools' & happy Friday! :) For some odd reason, I've never really played April fools' before but the people around me got fooled quite a bit! Haha.

Am definitely linking up to this! Always looking forward to your happy hour. ;)

I love lemonade by the way, so I'm quite jealous that you're already getting bored of it!

Have a beautiful weekend, J! x

I'm a newer follower and just had to link up today. My post was already scheduled and actually titled "What I'm Drinking". Fate!

I'm actually jealous of your 90 degree weather. It is supposed to snow here today. SNOW! IN APRIL!
blech.

I was just telling my hubs last night we should do that. But create some elaborate, and far-fetched, story. He didn't go for it. :(

Best thing I've done?? I used to call people and tell them I was moving to some random country far far away. A few times I got people and asked to visit, etc.

Happy Friday! (And wine night to me!)

Thank you for hosting Joelle!

I stopped by the Scarlet Cardinal and I loved her post about seeing the penguins in Australia. I think it would be really neat to see someday.

I also stopped by Cashmere & Candy and she has some of the cutest shoes posted!

By the way, your prank sounds AWESOME! I think in my group of friends, so insane rumor would go around. I don't think I'd want to deal with the drama. :)

Happy Friday!

Even though I hate hate hate that it still feels like Winter here in Chicago, I think I would hate 90 degrees even more. I'm sorta like goldy locks when it comes to weather - I don't like it too hot or too cold!

And I'm back! :)

Stopped by Simplicity & Reality (her Polyvore of comfort clothes made me feel at ease again - ready for the weekend!) and Cashmere & Candy (love.that.gold.necklace! and the heels - the whole versatile outfit!).

Such amazing posts/bloggers this week. As always, anyway!

Have a beautiful Friday & weekend ahead, gorgeous people. xx

Ha! What a great prank. I'm not a huge fan of April Fool's (once, I went to the Dentist on April 1, and he told me all of my teeth were falling out. Yeah, it wasn't funny, and I'm still traumatized).

Anyways, thanks for hosting again! I visited Love, Julie and The Scarlet Cardinal; both great blogs!

Good luck shopping for your perfect LBD, I'm still looking for mine! (Who knew it could be so hard?)

Have a great (and relaxing) weekend!

I stopped by What I'm Drinking and found another Chicago lady that is hoping for twins one day! I need to investigate further, but I feel like there is a chance we are the same person ;-)

I also stopped by Sasta, who just got her wisdom teeth pulled. Poor lady :( Let's all wish her a speedy recovery!

That bathing suit is lovely. :) Makes me wish it was 90 here today but I'll take 50. I'm so happy it's finally warming up - it was in the 80s this time of the year last year.. what the heck?!

I'm drinking hot cocoa today. :)
