Weekend Project

I've been feeling very...unorganized....lately. So on Friday, I made a resolution to do something about it. And I did. Kind of.

I've been wanting my own office space for a while; somewhere that I can plan out my day, do calligraphy, and use the laptop. Somewhere that's all my own.

I painted the top of my old desk, and made a skirt to go around so that I wouldn't have to paint the whole thing.

I made those shelves from some shelves on an old bookcase that I painted white, papered, and put ribbon on the trim. I also repurposed some used canvases by stapling black fabric to the front, to be use as a make shift bulletin board.

Michael's had those photo boxes on sale today, so I picked up a few in black and pink. And please ignore whatever it is on the side of that black box. I've already turned it around so that I don't see it, but I was too lazy to take another picture.

I got some magazine holders on clearance, and have made a resolution to only keep magazines that fit into those three holders. So, if you're in need of any magazines {bridal, housekeeping, cooking, Cosmo....just about  anything and everything}, feel free to come on over and pick them up. I'm throwing away a lot.

The binders are my recipe book and household agenda that I was working on a few weeks ago. I've actually been using them too, which I'm loving. They are a work in progress, and I'm still designing a lot of pages for them, but I wanted to offer you all the pages that I have so far, if you're interested.

Hope you all had a fantastic {and productive} weekend!

Love,

I am completely in love with your desk area! I would try to make one but there isn't really much room for it in our little apartment. And I wish I was close enough to pick up the bridal magazines but a drive across the country for magazines seems a little crazy.

What a wonderful desk space! I LOVE the fabric you used as a desk skirt. And I'm beyond thrilled you posted the .PDF files for those cute menu planners. I'm going to have to print them off. So thank you! =)

Wow! What a great work space! Can you come organize my pseudo office please?

Hope you've had a good start to your Monday!

Great site! I really like your new space that you've created for yourself. It's given me the inspiration to create my own photography space. I'm tired of putting things in all kinds of different places. I have to go to all over my house to get all my stuff and then I really have no space to actually work out of. Task for the summer!!!

I love your office space - really inviting and pretty! I have been feeling so disorganized lately, and the only place in my apartment for my desk is right near the litter box (tiny apt.) so I'm not super motivated to get it all in order, lol.

Love the PDFs. I really need to get organized. Thank you for the inspiration! :)

Here via Mingle Monday by the way! :)

That looks awesome and totally inspires me to set up my own office space better. Too bad we are moving in a month--maybe I'll do better in the next place :)

P.S. I love the magazines you read--Real Simple and Food Network Magazine are my favorites too!
