{a southern crush}

I love California. I love the warm weather, the beach, the food. I was born and raised here. I plan on raising my own children here. But that doesn't mean I don't have a serious nostalgia (I don't even know if that's the right word) for other places.

We have a culture here, but it isn't as strong or distinct as the culture in other areas. Or maybe the grass is just greener, you know?

I have a serious crush on the South. Like, to the point where I daydream about owning a little cottage in some Southern town, where I open a sweet little flower shop and ride my bicycle with the basket to the grocery store. I know that's a really random and somewhat stereotypical view of the South, but I just can't get it out of my head!

You know what else I can't get out of my head? Doing a Southern wedding.

Maybe it's the Southern elegance and tradition. Maybe it's the attention to detail, and the love of family. Or maybe it's just because Southern style is such a romantic notion. Whatever it is, I am dying to do a Southern wedding someday.

I mean, if you know of anyone looking for a coordinator, feel free to pass them along...

Do you have a crush on a place? Or are you from the South?

I have a crush on Seattle. The rain, the intense weather they get there, the snow, how close they are to the mountain, everything about that city! I wish I could move there :)

I know exactly what you mean! I have a love for New York, or Key West Florida. I love the little cottages in Key West, and how everything was walking/biking distance! :)

Well one day I will get married and you might just have to come to Virginia and help me!

I definitely have a thing for the south. And New England. Two completely different places.

I'm from the South and am seriously homesick for it every day! I'll soon be moving even farther north, but I'm hoping for a swift return for good afterwards... *sigh* I'm going home to Georgia this weekend and couldn't be more excited. I've always daydreamed of a Southern wedding and wouldn't have it any other way!

We are from the South (Georgia) and we love it! Though we enjoying other places, we would never leave for good. You're so right to have a crush on the South! xo

I am 3 and a half short weeks away from my Greenwood, MS wedding and I would fly you down for the festivities if I could! Fingers cross that it will be as romantic as I have planned--but we also have to factor in the humidity and mosquitoes (the state "bird" of MS)!

I'm also from California.. and I love it.. But I love the south. And upstate New York. I'd happily live either place. Or somewhere new.

I feel like I have a crush on a lot of places, including NY! Not NYC, but upstate, where there is wine and small towns and other fun things. I've never been, but it's going to happen someday.

I am SO excited to see pictures! You'll have to share when you get them, and congratulations! I would love to help it I could! xoxo

See, I knew I had good reason! I've been to Georgia (just Atlanta), but I remember loving it!

That's what I keep hearing! Everyone from the South just loves it, and I completely understand why. I hope you have to move back soon! xoxo

I have a crush on New England too! I'm also dying to do a nautical themed wedding at the Cape...

YES PLEASE. You know I will ;) xoxo

Haha I mean, California is pretty great too ;)

I can definitely see the Florida thing too! Especially in the summer ;)

I don't blame you for that one either! I would love to visit Seattle someday :)

It's goregous. I'm from Central California, so I'm used to giant redwoods and all kinds of huge trees. In upstate, near Albany, they have all these tall skinny trees. And I watched a fox run across my brother's backyard. It was beautiful.

I think getting to go and work anywhere that's different from the norm is fun. Looking forward to a wedding in Texas next week!
