{monday’s mantra}

This one has been done before, but it bears repeating. Especially after this past week.

Mondays Mantra

I don’t need to go into the details, but let’s be clear: I am not perfect and this blog is far from perfect. But I have never claimed otherwise.

I blog because it’s the best form of therapy I’ve found.

I blog because I want to make personal connections with people.

I blog because I want to share my story.

I will make mistakes and I will say things that you don’t like, or in a way that you don’t like. But I put myself out there willingly, so I need to be open to the idea that people will say things about me that I don’t like either. The best I can do is try to remember that there are a lot of people who do like me and my blog.

That’s what does matter.

Say what!? Why are people so mean sometimes? It really just doesn't make any sense to me. Trust me, your blog is lovely and I don't find you offensive in the slightest. Plus, like you said it's your blog and your space to write down what's on your mind :) Keep your head up!

Hi Joelle !

It is like therapy. First off I wanted my blog With Passion and Love to more about my adventures in event planning but it seems that it is more and more becoming more personal and I kind of like that as I am a very open person. I tell the truth as it is. People close to you will except you for your quirkiness and not so perfect life ... and that is exactly what matters ... those that criticise don't matter ... in fact half of the time they have problems of their own ... and enjoy attacking others to make them feel good. I say deal with your problems and don't waste your time criticising me for mine ... you are just wasting time and energy. Harsh but sooooo true !!!

Hope everything is OK! You have exactly the right attitude and it's one that I tell myself all the time. As long as I'm happy with what I'm creating, then all the others don't matter! Chin up, you're doing great!

Hi there. I just felt compelled to comment when I read your post as I recently nearly ended my blogging due to comments that were far from nice. That phrase "say what you want and be who you are" is my mantra! Just ignore the negative comments your blog is just lovely x
