Happy Hour

First things first, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for your sweet comments. You have no idea how much they truly meant to me, and while they didn't necessarily bring me out of my funk last night before bed, I am feeling a little bit better today. I hope you know how much I love you all, and how thankful I really am for each and every one of you.

Anyway, happy Friday my dear, sweet friends! While I hope you all had fabulous weeks, I'm sure you are all happy it's finally the weekend, right?

What are you all drinking tonight? I opened a bottle of yummy Peachy Canyon Zinfandel last night, so I think I'll finish the bottle have a glass after I get off of work.

This week was...decent. But I feel very overwhelmed and stressed these days. I really need 5:00 to come quickly today. I just need to relax and destress...

Tomorrow I'm proctoring the SATs. So exciting.

I am looking forward to my brother coming over though! He's driving up to spend the weekend with my husband and I! I think tomorrow night we are going to go to our favorite brewery for dinner with Carrie and her boyfriend, and then go out for drinks after. We're lucky, because downtown is only a $12 cab ride away.

No plans for Sunday yet, but sometimes a lazy weekend is the best kind of weekend.

Here are a few things I found this week that I wanted to share with all of you:

Fabulous Doodles Guests Names Giveaway {seriously, I would enter if I didn't feel bad about taking the chance away from someone that's actually getting married soon...}

This is genius.

And this is infuriating. And disgusting. And heartbreaking.

Make a beer can chicken. It's good. Promise.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend friends. And be sure to join the party!

We do happy hour all day on Fridays. Because it's five o'clock somewhere, right?

What are you drinking today?

Happy Hour is my weekly blog party, where we get to meet new friends, find new blogs to read, and destress from our week.  We're all busy ladies and sometimes we just need to get out with some friends, chat, and have a drink.

How to enter the party:
  1. Must be a follower of Love is Home to participate. If you aren't already a follower, just click that "follow" button over there to the right.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of this post and click on the link to enter.
  3. Add your blog's information and button.
  4. And you're done!
How to play:
  1. Write a post about anything you want to write about. Do you need to vent about a stressful week? It's okay, we all have them and that's what we're here for. Vent away. Did you have a fantastic day? We want to hear about that too. Or do you have big plans for the weekend? You know what to do...
  2. Visit two other blogs linked below and leave a comment, saying that you are from {Where We Love} Happy Hour.
  3. Come back and leave a comment below telling us who you visited and any wonderful new blogs you found.
But there are some rules...
  1. Don't paste and run...that's not cool. And if you do, your link will be deleted.
  2. I thoroughly dislike "copy and paste" comments...you know, the ones that say "I'm a new follower from Happy Hour, I would love for you to follow back..." blah blah blah. Don't do it, please. I don't want to have to delete a link for doing that either. The purpose of this is to find new blog friends and support each other. We like authentic followers, ones that actually enjoy our blogs and aren't blindly following a bunch of blogs in hopes that they will gain more followers.
And if you want, you are welcome to use one of my buttons in your post!

Much love friends,

Yay for Happy Hour!

I stopped by Cornflake Dreams and Sprout! Both had super cute pictures posted of things I now can't stop wanting and daydreaming about. Damnit.

And ohhhhhh buddddy, this weekend I will be drinking (my body weight in?) white grape vodka martinis. Ever had one? They're super yummy -- my favorite part is putting frozen white grapes at the bottom of the glass. You know, instead of olives? Cute, right? I know.

And since I'll be at a friend's lakehouse partaking in a spring-break-type weekend getaway, is it okay if I also say I'll be drinking Coors Light? CLASSY.

What a great link-up! I've found *three* blogs!

I visited the Misadventures of the Muddling Mixologist and read a hilarious post on a tiger blood shot. Plus, I found someone else getting their PhD in clinical psychology!

I also visited Sprout Through the Concrete and she had a great roundup of some beautiful yellow inspiration pictures. Plus, she is another Chicago lady!

Lastly, I took a trip on over to Simply Sporadic and admired her warm weather picture. I've got to admit, her post made me kind of jealous!

Thanks for organizing this!!
