{Virtual Coffee}

Photobucket

It's been quite a while since the last time I did Virtual Coffee, but I really think it's necessary today. I'm not actually drinking coffee though...the antibiotics that my doctor put me on are really making my stomach churn, so I'm just having a nice cup of green tea today.

If you're new to my blog, and read my last two posts, you might be a little confused. You see, I've made the crazy decision recently to really focus on my writing, and my goal is to get published. This year. But it's hard to keep going without knowing if what you're writing is interesting enough for readers. Or really, any good at all. So while a little comment might not mean a whole lot to you, it truly means the world to me. All of your sweet, kind comments {and even those giving me constructive criticism} are giving me the motivation to keep writing. So thank you.

This week has been really hard on me, for a variety of reasons. First, as I mentioned before, I'm on a pretty strong antibiotic cocktail and it is making life exceptionally difficult at the moment. I've been having some stomach issues since September, when I was in the hospital for severe colitis. They hooked me up to IV antibiotics for two days, and I thought it was over with, until I started having issues again in November. Needless to say, I've been in pain since then and they still don't know what's wrong with me.

On the up side, though, they ruled out any type of inflammatory bowel disease {IBD} via a colonoscopy I had a few weeks ago. Now we are just waiting to see if these antibiotics work. If not, I have no idea what's going to happen from here.

Other than health issues, money issues, and work issues, life is treating me pretty decently. I'm actually happy, which is saying a lot, especially considering above issues. When I began this blog, I had no idea what it would become. I had no idea that I would find such amazing, supportive friends, and I can't say enough how much I appreciate each and every one of you. When my follower count hit 200 the other day, I was absolutely floored. So, thank you again. Really. Having a venue to vent and write and express my creativity is amazing enough, but having all of you, to love and support me, is really something else.

Thank you for having coffee {or, green tea} with me today. You've just made my day a little bit better than it was before.

And it will get even better when I leave work, because tonight is trivia night! While I can't have my usual ginormous margarita, I'm still excited to play and maybe win again. Last week we got third place {and one ticket to their Sunday buffet...}, but tonight we are going to get first, and win all the money! So, if you have any bit of random information that you think might be useful {it's just random trivia}, leave it in the comments and I'll be sure to remember it.

I love you all.

1. I agree with the above comments!
2. LOVED your writing, by the way. I can't wait to read the finished product on a bookshelf someday!
3. I have a TON of useless trivia facts, so I'm not much help, but this site might help you:

Good luck! =)

I love this virtual coffee business. Do you mind if I steal it from you. I'm just kidding...kind of. I didn't know you had stomach issues, though. I hope it all gets better. I had something of the same, but a little different when I was 13. I passed out four times in four months and the doctor's could never figure out what was wrong. Twice I fainted from hitting my funny bone, once from severe abdominal cramps, once from getting overheated in the back of my Dad's truck after I sat up from taking a nap and my leg had fallen asleep, and then once when I reached my hand behind me to see what was on my shoulder blade - something pulled in my shoulder and I passed out a few minutes later. Really insane stuff and no explanations. I know exactly how you feel, and I really hope they found out what is going on. And, of course, I continue to wish you well on your writing career!

Joelle, I had no idea. I don't think you've mentioned anything about your health in past posts. If you have, and I missed them, I am so sorry. I do hope you feel better, and the doctors find out what is wrong.
Love you sweet friend! Praying.

PS. Congrats on reaching 200. You seriously are going places love!!

Hope you feel better soon! - I just finished a week of an antibiotic cocktail for similar reasons so I'm also hoping that there won't be any recurring issues - it's so frustrating when doctors can't figure out what's wrong with you.

And your writing is wonderful and I have no doubt that you'll get published!

Thanks for coffee!
