{summer essentials: reading list}

I’m continuing my Summer Essentials series with a really important list: the books that I want to read.

Reading List

1. The Luminous Portrait: So, I’m not a photographer, but Elizabeth Messina is one of my very favorite wedding photographers, and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this book. I can’t wait to read it, just so that I can say I know a little bit more about photography because of her.

2. Les Miserables: This is one of my absolute favorite books of all time, and after seeing the trailer, I’ve been wanting to read it again! If you haven’t read Les Mis yet, you really should. It’s amazing!

3. The $100 Startup: I’ve read a few books about owning your own small business, but this one is supposed to be one of the best. I’m a few chapters in already, and it seems really relevant to my situation. I’m excited to finish it!

4. Safe Haven: I can’t help it, I’m a sucker for a good love story. And Nicholas Sparks is the king of the love story. I’ll probably be in tears by the end of the book, but you best believe that I’ll be picking it up the day it comes out.

Whats on your summer reading list

Let me know, because I’m always on the lookout for a new book to read!

Les Mis is on my list, as well! I have never read it or seen it, and I had no idea there was a movie coming out. I better get on it!

I like this post! I am always interested in what other people are reading. I've been so tempted to go that route on my blog. The $100 Startup looks really interesting.

I must admit, I'm a bit of a sucker for a good love story as well. But I love a great love story mixed in with suspense and thrill... so I'm more a romantic thriller lover. :) I also love coffee table books because I'm such a picture lover. I could get lost in one photo. Very good list, Hun!
Thanks for sharing them with us!

I met Chris Guillebeau when he was visiting Columbus on his tour stops, and I picked up a copy of his book. I can't wait to crack it open! I'm hoping to re-read East of Eden this summer, as well as tackle a whole bunch of nonfiction books.
