{macarons}

When I started my business, I knew that I needed {and wanted} to set myself apart. The wedding market is pretty saturated, but I have something special to offer. I just had to figure out how to prove it to people.

One thing I’ve noticed in this past year is how impersonal some wedding vendors are, and I really don’t want to be like that. They don’t really put a lot of effort into meetings, don’t prepare with any special marketing when meeting with someone for the first time. I need to set myself apart. But beyond that, I want my clients to know that I appreciate them and their business, and that I’m truly excited to work with them.

Enter the macarons. I sent chocolate once, but it was expensive and kind of cheesy in my opinion. I love macarons {I could create an entire board on Pinterest dedicated to them}, and I thought that other people might like them too. I searched Etsy for the perfect vendor for my macarons, and I found Salt City Bakery.

Andrea is an absolute sweetheart, and I get so excited when I sign a client so I can have her send them some yummy macarons! My favorite are definitely the vanilla raspberry. So good!

Are you as obsessed with macarons as I am? If so, you should hire me so you can get some.

I want one of these. Right. Now.
Running to Whole Foods to get some from their bakery might have to suffice for the evening.

I love that you do that for you clients. I agree, there are a lot of strictly business/kind of cutthroat vendors out there. Why would anyone want someone to work on their wedding who they couldn't see being friends with?

I've never had one and I'm confused based on their appearance what exactly they are and what the texture is haha. Someday I'll try one, though! I think it's great that you do something different that shows you really value your clients!

I love macarons!! I've been meaning FOREVER to figure out how to make them myself. I would love to incorporate them into my wedding, as a favor, or at our hospitality hour, or even just a gift for the bridesmaids.

Hi Kate! I've made them before, and they aren't too difficult to make. I think I might put up a tutorial someday, but I need to practice a little more.

and I LOVE the idea of incorporating them into your wedding! They can get a little expensive if you do them as favors, but I really like the thought of giving them to bridesmaids as a gift. You can package them up really cute, and get them in different colors. You'll have to let me know what you decide to do!

Joelle

I've only had macrons once before. I had a pistachio one and a raspberry one. Very yummy! You can't get them anywhere I live though, which is horrible.

The ones you shared seem lovely too Joelle!
