A few weeks ago, I joined a blog called "Love Bomb." If you have never heard of this project before, the concept is simple: every week, a fellow blogger is nominated that needs some love and support. We then go to that person's blog and leave that love and support in the form of comments.
This week I got an email about Roxanne, a young wife and mother who lost her husband last week to Mestastic Melanoma skin cancer. Needless to say, once I visited her blog and read her story, I was in tears.
Anyway, if you're interested, I encourage you to visit her blog and leave her some love. There is nothing we can say to make the pain she is feeling go away, but we can at least show her that she isn't alone in the world.
And if you like this concept, I also encourage you to go to Drop a Love Bomb and sign up. It's really the little things in life that make life worth living, and this is a little thing you all can do for someone. It doesn't take much time, and you only get one email a week telling you who the recipient of the "love bomb" is.
If you know of anyone that might need a little love bomb of their own, feel free to nominate them. Or let me know and I'll make a little post about them. I know that I don't have as much influence as the people over at Love Bomb have, but if all my followers left a little love, it would definitely make an difference for somebody.
