Day 13: Places

It's funny, because just last night Robert asked me where in the country I would want to move if we had to. You see, he is in his first year of grad school and for year five he has to get an internship somewhere. People pretty much go all over the country, and since I was born and raised {and currently live} in Southern California, it might be nice to try some place new.

My first choice?

Hawaii. Duh.

Pretty sure even I would go in that water.

But D.C. wouldn't be too bad either.

What can I say? I'm a history/politics nerd.

But California's Central Coast is where I want to end up permanently, though I don't know how many internships are available there...

As long as it has my yellow house...

And isn't this...

But if I could move anywhere in the world, you all know where I would go.

awww. We are tyring to figure out where we are willing to live when we move back, and we are also both born and raised in southern california. Living in england definitely opened us up to more possibilities..

and really narrowed it down...

no long winter climates for us thank you.

how fun! we're actually trying to figure out where to move. h wants to do a fellowship in two years so he is going to apply to a few places and we'll have to see where we end up! he is in LOVE with cali, so maybe we'll move there. portland, atlanta, and florida are all in the running too. (yep- we're both sick of cold weather too). i love chicago and we have lots of friends and family here but i think in two years we'll be ready for a change. i'll have to pick your brain about cali eventually :) xoxo jcd

I'm sad that the next to the last picture looks a lot like West Texas (yuck...), but seriously: TEXAS. Tell Robert y'all should move to Dallas. Then we can be real life BFFs. Sounds perf, right? Right.

JoAnn- So happy you find my little blog! And I love your blog name...pretty much describes my life too :) I'm off to look around your blog now!

Megan - It's good to know living in Europe hasn't changed your taste...since, you know, California is the best.

Jillian - Yes! Come to California! Like I said to Megan, it really is the best. And pick my brain all you want...that's what I'm here for ;)

Andrea - Hmmmm Texas...didn't really think of it. We could basically end up anywhere, but maybe I'll have to include Dallas on the list :)

heck, even I would go in that clear, beautiful Hawaii water. i'm not much for going in large bodies of water. nah. but that place is beautiful. gosh. :)

i need to visit cali someday. and oregon. i'd love to see those places, since i live in the midwest... :)

When I went to Hawaii this summer, I met some people who lived there for awhile. Their advice? Don't live here...visit here. They said it gets way to expensive and depending on what island you live on, you won't have access to certain stores all the time. But again, that was just a few peoples opinion. I love Hawaii, but I totally can see why you wouldn't want to live there. Anyway, since you know that I was born and raised in Dallas, I think that would be a good option :p hehe. My parents are there, Andrea is there...man. Sounds good to me! haha. Though, Paris sounds cool as well...hmmm.
