{the little things}

I do have to say that however much I complain, my life is pretty darn good. I have an amazing husband, adorable little dog girl, a roof over my head, a successful blog, a good job, and my own company. But we all have bad days sometimes. We all have days where we just want to stay in bed and read a good book, forgetting about everything going wrong in our lives. It's so easy to focus on the bad things and forget about the good things, isn't it? But even if the bad things are so overwhelming, there are still the little things. And sometimes it's the little things that keep us going.

the little things

{1, 2, 3}

Why don't you drink your coffee out of a pretty teacup?

Or make chocolate chip cookies, and eat the dough straight from the bowl? Without worrying about the calories...

Why don't you take a walk on your lunch break and breathe in the fresh air?

Why don't you call your mom and tell her you love her? Or your dad? Or your sister?

Why don't you buy yourself flowers for your dining room or bedside table?

Or get a drink with your girlfriends?

Or take your husband on a date?

Why don't you get yourself a new nail polish or lipstick? Or, better yet, treat yourself to a pedicure?

SO TRUE. I read this just before ordering a coffee at my favorite cafe - had planned on just getting a latte, but splurged on a mocha! best decision ever. thank you!

That is it, the only truth is in the little things. These little things make the difference in our lives, they show us beauty and serenity. There might be huge issues to deal with, if we see the bright side of life, enjoy the tiny moments of joy, we understand nothing else matters really.
Very nice ideas there Joelle...dreaming of a pedicure!!!
